Access your phone book
When using the SIM4travel service, some phones may not be able to access the phone book function. If you have one of these phones you will need manually enter the number you would like to call.
My SIM is blocked
If you have chosen to set up a PIN and have entered it incorrectly three times, your mobile will display PIN Blocked or Enter PUK.
If this happens, DO NOT enter your PIN again, but enter your PUK number when prompted.
IMPORTANT - if the wrong PUK number is entered, your SIM will be permanently disabled. If this happens, call Customer Services for a replacement SIM – charges may apply.
SIM reset and network selection
If you are experiencing service issues we suggest that you perform a SIM reset and manual network selection. This does not affect your personal phone settings or phone contacts.
1. With your phone switched on, remove the battery
2. Remove the SIM card
3. Replace the battery without the SIM card
4. Turn your phone on
5. Your phone may display an Insert SIM message
6. Wait 15 seconds and turn your phone off
7. Remove the battery and replace the SIM and battery
8. Turn your phone back on
Manual network selection
In addition to a SIM reset, we suggest you try to manually select an alternative network. Please refer to your phone instructions for the location of this option.
Don’t forget to set your Network Selection option back to Automatic when you travel to a new country.
