What is a PIN or PUK codes?
As with all mobile phone SIM cards, PIN and PUK codes are used for your safety.
They allow you to access your SIM and protect its use from others. When you receive
your Travel SIM you must enter a PIN code to unlock it before you can use it. PUK
codes are provided just in case you enter the incorrect PIN code more than 3 times.
If you do, your phone will 'lock' you out for security reasons and only upon entry
of your PUK code will it be unlocked for you to enter the correct PIN code.
How do I make a call?
SIM4travel uses a process known as a Call back. This means your phone calls you
back once you have dialled the number you wish to call.
Every time you make a call:
1. Dial the number with the international dial code, even when in the same country
E.g. to dial the UK number 0207 107 9700 from anywhere in the world you will need
to dial 00 44 207 107 9700
2. Your phone will display a Calling… message
3. Your phone will ring within a few seconds
4. Answer the call and you are connected
What does 'Call barred', 'Restricted number' or 'Check
operator services' mean?
In some phones, making a call requires a different dialling procedure. This is called
Menu Calling. To make calls from the menu, you will need to find the SIM4travel
menu option on your phone:

Samsung: in the Applications menu
Siemens: in the Main or Extras menu
If your phone uses icons, look for the SIM4travel SIM card icon.
